Aphytis melinus: Feeds on California Red Scale, Ivy or Oleander Scale, San Jose Scale, Walnut Scale and Dyctyosperum Scale. Adults are small light yellow wasps about 1 mm in size. The wasps lay their eggs under the waxy scale covering and develop into larvae. Each female can lay up to 25 eggs.
Lindorus lophanthae: Feeds on many different types of Scales. They chew through hard scales as well as eat eggs and larvae of all Scale breeds. Adults are tiny black beetles that resemble the ladybug in size.
