Target Pests

Product Description
Ladybugs: The classic general predator. These native, pre-fed ladybugs go straight to work hunting down bad bugs the moment they're released. Use them indoors, outdoors, in greenhouse, or gardens. Healthier plants, bigger harvests, and it's all natural and pet/people-friendly.
Praying Mantis: The garden's top predator, and a favorite for kids and bug enthusiasts. These patient ambush hunters take on just about any insect that crosses their path. Egg cases hatch into dozens of hungry nymphs within 4-6 weeks, growing into full-sized mantises that patrol your garden for months.
Introduction Rates
LADYBUGS
Preventative/Light: 1 ladybug per sq. ft., monthly
Moderate: 1 ladybug per sq. ft., bi-weekly, 2-3 times
Heavy: 1 ladybug per sq. ft, weekly, 2-4 times
PRAYING MANTIS
2 egg cases per 3,000 square feet.
Temperature range: 70°+ F. Hatching can take up to 6 weeks once temperatures consistently reach 70°F.
Rates are general guidelines. Actual needs vary by pest species, plant, and infestation level. Monitor both pests and released insects to gauge success.
Application
Ladybugs: Release in the early morning, evening, or on a cloudy day. Never in direct sun. Repeat through the season for lasting protection.
Praying Mantis: Keep egg cases in a warm spot (70-80°F) out of direct sunlight, indoors or outdoors, and let nature take its course.
Indoor hatching: Move newly hatched nymphs outside within 24 hours, placing them directly on plants under cover.
Outdoor hatching: Secure the case in a plant crotch or hang it 1-2 feet up in a tree canopy. Nymphs disperse on their own once hatched.
Pro Tips
- Skip broad-spectrum pesticides; they can harm your new pest patrol along with the bad bugs.
- Early introduction is key. The sooner these insects move in, the faster they get ahead of an outbreak.
