Protect Your Harvest From Codling Moth & Oriental Fruit Moth
If you've ever cut into an apple and found more than you bargained for, codling moth larvae are likely the culprit β and Oriental fruit moth larvae go after both fruit and tender new shoots. This trap uses a dual-pheromone lure to draw in both pests at once, trapping them on a sticky surface they can't escape. No sprays, no chemicals β just a simple monitoring and control tool for your orchard.
Why gardeners like it:
- Non-toxic, pesticide-free pest control
- Dual pheromone lure attracts two moth species in one trap
- Keeps working for up to 60 days per lure
- Covers apricot, almond, plum, cherry, apple, pear, peach, quince, and English walnut trees
What's included:Β 2 traps + 2 pheromone lures by AgBio.
Active ingredient: pheromone (E,E)-8,10-Dodecadien-1-ol on a rubber septum.
Setting up your trap:
Pull the trap open at the top and bottom, folding the perforated edge inward to form its shape. Tuck the lure packet inside, then hang the trap using the built-in twist-tie hole β ideally high in the tree canopy, about 2 feet in from the foliage edge (dwarf or small trees only need one trap). Keep a 12β18" foliage-free buffer around the trap, and don't let it hang below the canopy or within 4 feet of the ground.
Timing matters
For full-season protection, place traps in early spring before buds break, and swap in a fresh trap and lure every 60 days.
Storage
Keep unused lures in their sealed packet in the fridge or freezer to extend shelf life. Store in a cool, dry spot, and don't open until you're ready to hang it.
