Goal
Build healthier, more productive soil with Red "Wiggler" Worms (Eisenia fetida). While not predators, these industrious worms are essential workhorses for turning organic material into nutrients for plants. They can consume half their body weight in organic material daily while aerating soil and enriching it with nutrient-rich castings that support beneficial microbes. Their tunneling also improves soil structure over time.

Introduction Rates
General rate: 2–3 worms per sq. ft., or 200-300 worms per 100 square feet.
Rates are general guidelines. Actual needs vary by pest species, plant, and infestation level. Monitor both pests and released insects to gauge success.
Application
Best introduced in the morning or evening, after watering.
Garden, lawn, trees, shrubs, potted plants: Dig several 4–5" deep holes, place a few worms in each, and loosely cover with soil
Worm bin: Introduce on top of compost; keep moist as organic material is added

- Introduce during mornings, evenings, or on cloudy days, and keep the soil surface moist before and after application.
- Avoid using pesticides, wetting agents, and broad-spectrum or systemic insecticides.
- Introduce immediately for best results. Do not freeze. If storage is necessary, keep in original packaging at 40–45°F for up to 7 days.
