Your garden's natural pest control squad of three beneficial insects working together to knock out caterpillars, moths, and the soft-bodied pests that love to snack on your plants.
Ladybugs: The reliable all-rounders. These native, pre-fed ladybugs patrol your garden hunting soft-bodied pests wherever they hide. Indoors, outdoors, and in greenhouses.
Green Lacewings: Nicknamed the "Aphid Exterminator." Their larvae are voracious hunters (they look like tiny alligators!) that feed on pests for weeks before maturing into pollinating adults.
Trichogramma: Microscopic but mighty. These pinpoint-sized wasps lay their eggs directly inside pest eggs, stopping caterpillars before they ever hatch. We include both a variety for tall plants (6ft+) and one suited for cool-season crops, so you're covered either way.
Introduction Rates
LADYBUGS
Preventative/Light: 1 ladybug per sq. ft., monthly
Moderate: 1 ladybug per sq. ft., bi-weekly, 2-3 times
Heavy: 1 ladybug per sq. ft., weekly, 2-4 times
GREEN LACEWINGS
1 insect per sq. ft., monthly, as needed.
TRICHOGRAMMA
1 - 2 insects per sq. ft. or 50,000 - 100,000 per acre, weekly during moth flight
Temperature Range: 50-95°F
Rates are general guidelines. Actual needs vary by pest species, plant, and infestation level. Monitor both pests and released insects to gauge success.
Application
Ladybugs: Release in the early morning, evening, or on a cloudy day — never in direct sun. Repeat throughout the season for ongoing protection.
Green Lacewings: Hang the included egg box directly on affected plants, out of direct sunlight.
Trichogramma: Cut (don't tear) the egg card and attach it near infested plants. Eggs hatch in about 5 days at 70°F+.
Pro Tips
- Keep ants under control. They'll eat lacewing and trichogramma eggs before pests ever get parasitized.
- Skip broad-spectrum pesticides. They can harm your new pest patrol along with the bad bugs.
- Early introduction is key. The sooner these insects move in, the faster they get ahead of a pest outbreak.
