What do Red Wiggler worms do?
While not predators, these industrious worms are essential workhorses for turning organic material into nutrients for plants. They can consume half their body weight in organic material daily while aerating soil and enriching it with nutrient-rich castings that support beneficial microbes. Their tunneling also improves soil structure over time.
Product Description
Our Red Worms are cultivated on managed farms with careful harvesting and quality checks. Each package includes a mix of cocoons, newly hatched worms, and mature adults, making it easy to jump-start compost bins or enrich garden beds.
Introduction Rates
General rate: 2–3 worms per sq. ft., or 200-300 worms per 100 square feet.
Rates are general guidelines. Actual needs vary by pest species, plant, and infestation level. Monitor both pests and released insects to gauge success.
Application
Best introduced after watering and in the morning or evening.
Dig several 4–5" deep holes, place a few worms in each, and loosely cover with soil.
