Product Description
This tiny parasitic wasp, with striking iridescent green-bronze coloring, lays eggs directly inside the leafminer larvae. A great fit for warm-weather crops like tomatoes and peppers. Release preventatively or as soon as mining damage appears.
Introduction Rates
Release 1 insect per 10 sq. ft., weekly, for 2 weeks (light infestations)
Temperature range: 60–95°F
Rates are general guidelines. Actual needs vary by pest species, plant, and infestation level. Monitor both pests and released insects to gauge success.
Application
Introduce during cooler parts of the day (morning or evening). Target plants showing 2nd-instar leafminer activity; sprinkle directly onto affected areas. Leave the container open for 24 hours so stragglers can emerge.
Pro Tips
- Remove yellow sticky traps for the first few days after release so you don't accidentally catch your new allies.
- Best introduced immediately upon receipt. If needed, store up to 24 hours at 50–60°F, out of direct sunlight. Never freeze.
