Beneficial Insect Netting

Easily release beneficial insects on houseplants and container plants without worrying about them spreading throughout your home or grow space. Our Beneficial Insect Netting creates a breathable enclosure that keeps ladybugs, lacewings, and other beneficial bugs focused directly on the target plant, right at the source of the infestation. It's just as effective for outdoor plant use, making it a versatile option whether you're treating a windowsill container or an in-ground garden bed.

This knitted 25 g/mΒ² mesh (0.35mm x 0.35mm openings) is highly effective against insects and birds while protecting plants from weather damage like wind, rain, and hail. Its minimal thermal effect means it won't overheat plants, even in summer.

Install directly over plants or on hoops. For outdoor or greenhouse setups, secure the edges with sandbags or fine soil to keep the enclosure fully contained.

Note: While this netting effectively blocks many common garden pests including aphids, flea beetles, and cabbage moths, it does not prevent thrips larvae from entering or exiting the covered area β€” their extremely small size lets them pass through the mesh openings.

How to Use Beneficial Insect Netting

  1. Release your beneficial insects onto the affected plant according to product instructions.
  2. Carefully place the insect netting over the plant, trimming excess material as needed for a proper fit.
  3. Secure the enclosure by tucking the netting under the pot or fastening it with clips to fully contain the space.
  4. Leave the netting in place until pests are controlled or for as long as desired to maintain containment.

Pro Tip: For crops that need pollination, remove the netting once the first flowers appear. Self-fertile or wind-pollinated crops don't require this.Β
