Mesoseiulus longipes - 1,000 Adults (Vial)

These are live insects and MUST be shipped OVERNIGHT. No USPS or ground shipping. 

Mesoseiulus longipes occur naturally in South Africa and on greenhouse plants. This predator has five life stages; egg, larva, protonymph, deutonymph and adult. Females predominant 4:1. This predator will complete a generation in one week depending on temperature. Longipes do best in warm to hot greenhouses. Tolerant of lower humidity (40% relative humidity at 70°F.). Does not do well on outside crops. 

RELEASE INSTRUCTIONS: Once you have arrived home with your predatory mites, you must use them immediately. Mesoseiulus longipes cannot be stored. These insects do best in warm or hot green houses and grow rooms but does not do well on outside crops. It is recommended for mite control that a minimum of 3-4 releases will be needed in an indoor area. General release rates are one mite per square foot. To release, sprinkle insects onto plants with hot spots of spider mite infestation. Susceptible to pesticides. Field tolerance will vary with spray timing, application methods, weather and crop. Avoid spraying crop one week before or after releasing predators. Some materials may be toxic to predators for up to four weeks. 

RELEASE RATES: 1,000 mites can treat 1,000 sq. ft. of growing area.
